Company, with its head office in the region of Amsterdam, develops, manufactures and sells toys, games and puzzles. Company sells their products around the world. Delivers around EUR 140M in revenue, and has the ambition to double it’s size in the next 3-5 years.
Responsibilities
The Operations/Supply Chain Manager Benelux & Nordics will be leading and coaching a small but enthusiastic team of 3 demand & supply planners, and be responsible for selecting and managing the logistics service providers. Works closely together with other departments, such as the Customer Service team in the Netherlands, the Sales and Marketing functions, and with 3rd party suppliers and logistics providers. Alignment on processes and inventories with peers in the other companies in the group is a key aspect of the role. Oversees the entire supply chain function from supplier, freight, warehousing and distribution to the customer. Improvement projects related to EDI, ERP optimalisation and Retailer Special projects are an important part of the role.
Characteristics
Reports to the COO, who is based in the Netherlands. Working remote is a new standard at the company, but it is expected to come to the office at least 2-3 days in the week. The warehouse is located in Venlo, which needs to be visited regularly.
Profile
- Relevant functional management experience in demand & supply planning and logistics, preferably in a FMCG company;
- 3-5 years experience as a people manager;
- experience in optimizing logistics performance in warehousing and distribution;
- experiencein implementing and executing S&OP;
- knowledge of ERP systems linked to order processing, planning and warehouse management;
- worked in international organizations;
- skilled in data analytics, building reports and relevant performance metrics;
- excellent knowledge of Dutch and English;
- team player with good collaboration ánd negotiation skills;
- natural leader and good listener, change manager;
- hands-on mentality, capable of delivering tangible results also by stepping in and doing the work;
- strong analytical and computation skills and ability to root cause, problem solve and drive solutions.
